Delphi's Dynamic Skip Fire (DSF) technology makes its production debut in the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 as Dynamic Fuel Management. Chevrolet offers six different powertrain combinations. Two new gasoline V-8 engines-a 5.3-liter unit and a 6.2-liter-deliver improved fuel efficiency with the same Dynamic Fuel Management system, reducing fuel flow to between one and seven cylinders as conditions allow. Buyers can choose between the truck's 5.3-liter or 6.2-liter V8 engine. The 5.3-liter V8 (355 hp and 383 ft-lb of torque) comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the 6.2-liter V8 (420 hp and 460 ft-lb of torque), a 10-speed automatic. In addition, for the first time in the history of this line, Chevy will offer a 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder.
