Ford has designed the 2023 Ford Bronco exclusively as a four-wheel-drive truck-based SUV. The Base model gives you the choice of either a seven-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission, and its engine is a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder that makes 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. There is also an optional engine: a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 that makes 330 hp and 415 lb.-ft. and which automatically comes with the automatic. The turbo V6 is optional starting with the Base, and it’s included with the Heritage Limited Edition and Wildtrak. There is also an engine exclusive to the Raptor: a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that makes 418 hp and 440 lb.-ft.

The Wildtrak expands the number of selectable drive modes to seven. The Raptor has an active exhaust, a heavy-duty rear axle and Fox shock absorbers. The Sasquatch package, which is included with the Wildtrak and Everglades, adds beadlock wheels, mud-terrain tires, a lifted suspension, electronically locking front and rear axes and a shorter final drive ratio.
