Buick is one of the most noticeable car manufacturers in the world, and their newest creation, the new Buick Encore, has hit the automotive planet. The all-new Buick Encore was released on December 3rd.
The Buick Encore is built on GM’s Delta 2 platform, which offers easier weight distribution and better fuel economy than previous platforms. Its more powerful engine also makes it capable of handling rough terrain. Its eye-catching design is more aerodynamic than the previous Buick Encore, and the new model comes with the latest technology, like a rearview camera and built-in Bluetooth. The engine, a 138-horsepower turbocharged I-4, is the best feature of this vehicle.
This model also has a shorter wheelbase of 100.6 inches and an overall length of 173.2 inches, making it look and feel more impressive than the previous model. The new Buick Encore can achieve 10.3 L/100 km on the highway, which is much better than its 23 mpg city and 27 mpg combined mileage.
The exterior features of the new Buick Encore consist of 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, chrome grille, chrome window surrounds, and a wraparound tailgate spoiler. It also has a spoiler on the trunk lid, giving it a sporty touch. The outside rearview mirrors can be adjusted manually or automatically. It also comes in three colors Onyx Black Metallic, Shimmering Silver Metallic, and Summit White.
The Buick measures 168.35 inches long or about 14 feet, with a wheelbase of 100.6 inches, and the minimum ground clearance is 6.22 inches. The Height of the Encore is 65.25 inches, and the width is 70.1 inches.
Other exterior package options include a roof rack with cross rails, an accessory carrier hitch for bicycles, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
The vehicle’s cabin offers enough space and comfort for five passengers. The seats are very soft and offer enough padding to make them comfortable. The Buick Encore is also very spacious. The 2017 Buick Encore interior is color-keyed in three shades of grey with black accents on the console and door trim. The vehicle also has a 1.4L four-cylinder engine that produces 138 horsepower and 148 lb.-ft. of torque. The Encore’s drive is standard to the front, but a preferred All-wheel drive system is also available.
The front-wheel-drive has three available modes: Sport, Snow, and Eco. The brakes are power-assisted for the front and rear, being antilock disc brakes.
The vehicle is equipped with ABS Electronic Stability Control and four-wheel independent suspension to deliver maximum driving control.
The driver can access various controls by steering wheel buttons or steering column-mounted paddles.
The vehicle has a rear vision camera with standard rear parking assist in the safety features department. It has seven standard airbags; front, side-impact, and head restraints.
They come with Daytime running lights, backup sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
It also comes standard with active front head restraints for passengers.
There are side-impact door beams to offer protection against intrusion in the event of a side-impact collision. The vehicle comes standard with a tire pressure monitoring system which warns the driver should the tire pressure fall low.
It is rated a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS. In the security department, the vehicle has an ignition disabler which helps prevent unauthorized vehicle use. In addition, it comes with coded driveaway protection to prevent theft of any kind.
